Books are magic. You can travel to different worlds, meet people (and creatures), fight battles, cast spells, and fall in love.
As a lifelong bookworm, I have always had a fascination with stories and how authors craft books that keep me up all night telling myself "just one more chapter."
My mission is to take the story, world, and characters you have crafted and polish it into the best version it can be while still maintaining your authorial voice.
When you work with me, we are a team. Together, we can make your readers neglect their bedtimes to read "just one more chapter."
I have a B.A. in Media Studies from Clark University, a Copyediting Certification from the American Society of Freelance Editors and the Poynter Institute, and years of self study on the craft of writing, editing, and grammar.
Plot structures I am familiar with include: Save the Cat, three act, the hero's journey, and more.
I use Chicago Manual Style as is standard in fiction.
