Sample Edit FAQs
What’s the word count for a sample edit?
A typical sample edit is a self contained scene of approximately 1,000 to 2,000 words. This provides enough text to gauge what your manuscript might need and the level of feedback you can expect for your full manuscript.
How long does the process take?
Usually, you will receive your edited sample, editorial summary, and recommended next steps within 5 to 7 business days of submission and confirmation.
Is there an obligation to book a full package?
Not at all. The sample edit is designed specifically to test the fit. There is no pressure at all!
What file format should I submit my sample in?
.docx file compatible with Track Changes is preferred, but I'm willing to work in Google Docs as well.
